Lightpanda

Downloads the official Lightpanda release for 64-bit Linux, checks its SHA-256 and installs it in /usr/local/bin. Runs its CDP server as a hardened systemd service (dynamic user), listening on 127.0.0.1:9222 unless you change the address, with usage telemetry turned off. Safe to run again.

  • Listen address RequiredAdvanced settings
    Address and port the Lightpanda CDP server listens on, as host:port. The default 127.0.0.1:9222 keeps it reachable from this server only (use an SSH tunnel from your computer). 0.0.0.0:9222 exposes it; the server has no login, so anyone who can reach it can make this server fetch any web address, and this tool never opens the firewall: allow only your own address in your provider's firewall.
