Open WebUI

Runs Open WebUI as a Docker container. The image is several GB, so the first download takes a few minutes. The session secret is generated once and kept in a root-only file.

What you will be asked

You fill these in during setup.

  • Web interface port RequiredAdvanced settings
    The port the web interface listens on. The default is fine unless another service already uses it.
  • Ollama address OptionalAdvanced settings
    Optional. Address of an Ollama server, for example http://host.docker.internal:11434 for Ollama installed on this server (Ollama must listen on 0.0.0.0, not only on 127.0.0.1). Empty keeps the image default; you can also add connections later in the app.

The connection to the site dropped. We are bringing it back; your page stays as it is. Check your internet connection. We keep trying by ourselves, and the page reloads once the site answers. This page was paused to save resources. Resume it to continue.
